September is National Preparedness Month. Is your family prepared for a disaster?
Disasters can strike at any time. Floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, earthquakes, and home fires are just some types of disasters that can disrupt your life. The American Red Cross recommends planning ahead for the emergencies that are most likely to happen where you live and has this list of different types of disasters and how to help you prepare for each type.
Having a plan in place for these emergencies for every member of your household could save a life. Some members of your household such as people with disabilities, senior citizens, children and pets, may need special accommodations. Ready.gov has this Make-A-Plan for your family before disaster strikes.
If a disaster does happen to your family and loved ones, SERVPRO of Point Pleasant is always there to make it “Like it never even happened.”
